To celebrate the publication of our latest report, ‘Belonging, Belief & Britishness: Exploring the British Muslim Experience on Their Own Terms,’ IIFL hosted a launch event in Parliament.

The reception celebrated a central theme of the report – the diversity of Britain’s Muslim communities.

About the event

The reception was attended by parliamentarians and friends of IIFL. Attendees discussed the report and its findings, before remarks from the Chair of IIFL, Baroness Gohir, and Rania Mohiuddin-Agir, who authored the report.

Rania is a research associate at the Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life. This reception launched her latest report for IIFL, which examines the diversity of Britain’s Muslim communities. During the reception, Rania spoke about the key findings of her report.

The Baroness Gohir OBE

Chief Executive Officer of Muslim Women’s Network UK

Baroness Gohir is the Chief Executive Officer of Muslim Women’s Network UK, a national charity representing Muslim women and girls, and the founder of Muslim Heritage Month. Her work on social justice has been recognised through an MBE in 2008 and OBE in 2016. She spoke about the positive findings of IIFL’s research and the contributions of British Muslims to society.
