Synagogues and community (upcoming)

The Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life will be hosting an online panel discussion with representatives of different Jewish communities to discuss synagogues’ community function, including the different events and activities they organise, how they support people of different ages and backgrounds, and how they engage with the wider community.

Islam and business

The Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life collaborated with The Lord Kamall to host a panel discussion in Parliament focused on the unique teachings of Islam in relation to finance and business, and discuss how Islamic teachings shape business practices in different sectors. The event was attended by parliamentarians, diplomats, academics, journalists, and representatives of NGOs.

Faith and leadership

The Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life hosted an online panel discussion about the relationship between faith and leadership in different areas of life. The discussion covered topics including how faith influenced the panellists’ leadership journeys, how faith can help overcome challenges, and different aspects of leadership that are complimented by faith.

Faith and education

The Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life hosted an online panel discussion which convened professionals, researchers and specialists in religious education (RE) to talk about the continuing importance and relevance of the subject in Britain. The discussion covered topics including what skills students gain from RE that they might not from other subjects on the curriculum, the value of religious literacy, and what good RE looks like.

Two-year anniversary reception

To celebrate two years of the Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life, IIFL hosted a reception featuring speeches from Lord Khan of Burnley and Dr Charlotte Littlewood.
